Something funny happened to me last night. I was in my room reading a book. My younger sister was inside the bathroom that time. I turned off our room light but switched on my bed side study lamp. I was enjoying what I was reading when a cold breeze touched my cheek. I look around but didn’t see anything unusual so I continued my reading. After a while, I heard something. It was like the sound of wind chimes. I was kinda surprised because I knew we didn’t have wind chimes in our room. The wind blew again. I was starting to get scared when I noticed the window was open. After closing it, I heard the wind chimes again. I immediately turned on the room light. Then, my sister came out of the bathroom, went to her area and got her mobile phone from her drawer. I heard the wind chimes for the third time. All the while it was her phone’s message tone alert that sounded like wind chimes! Whew! I cant help but to laugh at my self!

Forcing myself out of bed early in the morning is so hard. I think I’ve done all the means to do it but still I’m always fighting with myself every morning. I set my mobile phone alarm clock but I could easily turn it off. I used a real alarm clock and placed it where I could not easily reached but I could stop the alarm by throwing pillow on it. And the latest thing that I did was to put away my down comforters so that it would not be too comfortable to sleep. But yes, you got it right, it did not work either. I’m beginning to loose my patience.. One last try, I think I’m doing all of them at the same time tonight and tomorrow. Maybe it’ll work this time. I hope! I will inform you tomorrow..

Part of our organization’s self imposed social responsibility is our advocacy for learning. Every four months, our company sponsors a seminar workshop in reading and writing for interested grade-schooler and high school students. Here kids learn to appreciate reading better and develop their pen pushing talents. At the end of the seminar workshop, we usually give away books, notebooks and personalized pens. No amount of money can buy the moment we see how happy the kids are. It’s something that you can hold in your heart forever.
