January 15th, 2008 adminStrawberries are already in the market today. Its strawberry time again. I search some tips in buying the best and here it is. Look for plump, fresh-looking berries with bright green caps and healthy red color. Choose fully ripened berries-strawberries do not ripen after picking. Size doesn’t indicate quality; the largest aren’t necessarily the most flavorful. Avoid bruised, wet, or mushy-looking berries. If you grow your own berries or harvest them at a pick-your-own patch, leave caps on the berries as you pick.
