The other day I spent most of my time waiting. I was shopping some stuff at the beauty shop when I remembered my mom asking me to buy her an anti wrinkle cream, a few days ago. Since, I can not recall what brand she told e to buy, I had to call her through the pay phone. The line was a little bit long at the phone booth, so I waited for my turn. After calling my mom, I went back to the beauty shop to buy the cream. I was calm for those moments. It’s not a nice feeling but I was calm. Thank you Lord for my patience.
When my mom came home this afternoon, she had some stuff with her. When I went to see, she said it’s for my sister, she ordered belly fat burner from a friend who is selling weight loss stuff. I was a bit surprise because I didn’t know my sister is getting conscious of her weight. I mean we go out often and eat a lot. It’s just been sometime that we did not do that. I guess she is now determined to loose weight. Well, I hope she will accomplish that. As for me, I still want to eat a lot. LOL!

Even though we live in the same city, I rarely have the chance to see a very close friend of mine whom I consider my mentor. Mentor, not because she is way older than me, but because she never failed to pass unto me her wisdom about life, love and God.
Before she left for a one year mission in Asia, we met at a café shop after my work. We were so happy to update each other. We still wanted to stay and chat but she was leaving that evening. Before we parted ways, she gave me the Lord’s prayer bracelet it’s a very nice piece of religious item. Every bead symbolizes the words Jesus gave us when He taught us all to pray. Together with it is an inspirational note. The note goes this way… Have you ever felt like the contents of your life have been dumped on the ground before you? That everything you believed in and depended on has suddenly turned upside down? If so, you have given a wonderful gift because now you can choose which items to keep in your life and which ones to leave on the ground to be recycled and transmitted. Maybe you have been carrying some items around for too long and the heavy load finally broke open, causing the contents of your life to scatter. Every once in a while, life seems to shake us up and knock loose a few things we have become attached to. Next time it happens, ask the angels to help you pick up the pieces.
I’m just lucky, blessed and grateful about it!
I visited a friend who had been unemployed for the last two months. She said she could not get a grip of her life yet that is why she is not yet doing any job search. I feel her disappointment in her last job. She been so hard working but all her efforts had been unnoticed because some guy took credit for her hard work. She didn’t want to get into a fight because the guy was his friend. So she just let him take all the fame as he enjoyed his center stage. She resigned knowing she can move on and get another job. But she’s too hurt to get back to work. I wish I can do something about it. She needs to get back with her life.
While others get post graduate schooling, my friend enrolled in one of those known online universities to get another degree, unrelated to his course in college actually. Now he is working and applying what he learned. When he talks about it, I feel his fulfillment in what he does. I am also amazed to know that one can already get quality education through online degree. This is a good way of uplifting one’s self while saving money, time and effort. This gives some people a chance to take another path in their careers and find what would make them happy. It’s still a risk but I guess it’s worth the try!
